  3. Research Projects.  Many of our most successful students do undergraduate research projects.  These projects involve hands-on research working under the direction of a faculty member. These students present their research at meetings and some publish their findings in a refereed journal.  This helps the student get a "leg up" on the average applicant.
  4. Advising.  Dr. Malcolm McCallum is the A&M-Texarkana Pre-Medical Advisor.  He is more than happy to help you to prepare and apply for a professional school.
  5. Biology Club.  The Biology Club is for students at A&M-Texarkana and Texarkana College.  Speakers frequently come from the local health-care community.  This provides opportunities for students to learn about different aspects of the health-care professions.
  6. TAMU-Texarkana is a member of the Texas A&M University System. The TAMU System includes professional schools of medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy and dentistry.
