The city of Texarkana is comprised of Texarkana, TX and Texarkana, AR with a combined population of approximately 62,000, 57 percent of which reside on the Texas side. Located 181 miles from Dallas, TX, 71 miles from Shreveport, LA and 143 miles from Little Rock, AR, Texarkana boasts a diversified market of health care providers, manufacturers and retailers for its growing population. Texas A & M University- Texarkana is currently an upper level university. The University recently began the move to its new location at Bringle Lake, a few minutes away from the current campus.
