Welcome to Texas A&M-Texarkana SACS Accreditation Reaffirmation website.

The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) is the regional body for the accreditation of higher education institutions in the southern states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia) and Latin America awarding associate, baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degrees.

Texas A&M-Texarkana was initially accredited by SACS in 1979. The accreditation is reviewed every ten years, with the most recent review completed in 1995.

This website is intended to serve as a resource to the Texas A&M-Texarkana community for all aspects of the university's reaffirmation process.  It will be updated as new information becomes available.

Questions concerning the SACS Accreditation process or documentation should be addressed to: Carla Snyder, Director of Institutional Effectiveness.
