Welcome to Texas A&M-Texarkana SACS Accreditation
Reaffirmation website.
The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools (SACS) is the regional body for the accreditation of
higher education institutions in the southern states (Alabama,
Florida, Georgia,
Kentucky, Louisiana,
Mississippi, North
Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas,
and Virginia) and Latin
America awarding associate, baccalaureate, master's,
or doctoral degrees.
Texas A&M-Texarkana was initially accredited by SACS in
1979. The accreditation is reviewed every ten years, with the most recent
review completed in 1995.
This website is intended to serve as a resource to the
Texas A&M-Texarkana community for all aspects of the university's
reaffirmation process. It will be updated as new information becomes
available.
