The Success Center (SC) is located in University Center, Suite 330.
The purpose of the Success Center is to promote student success by providing academic support services to A&M-Texarkana students. The Success Center offers tutorials and study strategies to enhance students’ academic success. Students also have access to a computer lab for writing papers, performing research, and completing academic tutorials in several disciplines.
Academic Support Services
Professional and peer tutors offer academic assistance to A&M-Texarkana students in mathematics, writing, accounting, history, and the biological and physical sciences. Success Center tutors provide drop-in tutoring and weekly supplemental instruction (SI) sessions. Sessions are facilitated by tutors, certified through the National Tutoring Association, who attend all class lectures linked with their respective SI sessions. Tutors assist students in becoming successful, independent learners. Student Success Series workshops provide learning opportunities outside of the classroom on a wide variety of topics. Topics may include time management, study skills, note taking, communication skills, mental health, conflict resolution, etc.
