Welcome to Eagle Wi-Fi, Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s brand new wireless network! Eagle Wi-Fi allows Students, Faculty, and Staff to connect to a secure, encrypted network, while allowing guests to connect to an open network throughout campus.

Eagle Wi-Fi supports all operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, Chromebooks, and more.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your Android devices to Eagle Wi-Fi.

Supported Android Versions

Eagle Wi-Fi supports the following operating systems for Android devices: 2.1 (Eclair), 2.2 (Froyo), 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.0 (Honeycomb), 3.1, 3.2, and 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 (Jelly Bean), 4.4 (KitKat), 5.x (Lollipop), and 6.x (Marshmallow), as well as a ’support next version’ flag.

This guide provides an example of the prompts a user might see when using the Eagle Wi-Fi application. Depending on the configuration set up by the network administrator, the device manufacturer, and operating system, the user prompts can vary.

How to Connect to Eagle Wi-Fi

Follow the step below to connect to Eagle Wi-Fi. During this process, you will enter information as requested, and make selections about user type, device type, etc.

User Prompts

This section displays the user prompts for connecting to Eagle Wi-Fi. The sequence of steps for the enrollment differs, depending on access type selected.


STEP 1. Access Settings

Turn on Wi-Fi.

Tap to select Eagle Wi-Fi. 


STEP 3. Enrollment Welcome Screen Opens

If Enrollment Welcome Screen does not open, please open web-browser and navigate to cloudpath1.tamut.edu. Please read and agree to the Terms and Conditions. Tap or click Start.



STEP 4. Select User Type Prompt

Select the user type to continue. This example demonstrates the Students, Faculty and Staff access.


STEP 5. User Credential Prompt

Use netID and PAssword

Enter EagleID credentials, password and tap Continue.


The application detects the user agent for the Android operating system and provides the correct configuration instructions.

STEP 6. Instructions for Android Devices

Install the app

Tap Step 1: First, Install the App to start the installation process. 


The application is available from Google Play Store, Amazon Market, and as a Direct Download from a local web server. The network administrator can limit the download options. In which case, the download prompt may not display all three options.

STEP 7. Select Installation Method (this example shows Google Play option)

If permitted by the network configuration, the application can be installed from the Google Play Store.

The application requires access to a couple of systems on the device.

Tap Continue to agree and accept device changes.



When the enrollment process is finished, the application indicates that the device has been moved to the secure network.

STEP 12. Connected

you should be connected now

When the application has successfully configured the device and connected to the secure network, a message displays indicating that the process has completed.
