The role of travel as a very beneficial facet of the overall student learning experience is well documented. Although potential
risks associated with student travel exist, they are often outweighed by the dimension that the travel provides both academically and experimentally for the student. Participation in student activities and organizations is a vital way for students to become more involved in experiencing the value of group associations and to enhance their personal, professional, cultural and social growth. Texas A&M University-Texarkana is supportive of student participation in academic or co-curricular activities both on and off campus, but also recognizes that the safety of its students is of utmost importance. Therefore, the information required for this authorization is very important and necessary. Each form will be routed to the dean of the designated College. Pending the dean's approval, the form will be printed and routed for final approval by the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Student Affairs, and President. In addition to the documentation provided by the faculty or staff member, each person listed on the Roster of Travelers must submit In addition, provide copies of all announcements and advertisements of the trip.
