TExES Preparation Materials

There are many sources for TExES preparation materials.  Preparation material will be either for content (example – 8-12 Math, EC-4 Generalist) or for Pedagogy & Professional Responsibilities (PPR) tests.   You will not take the PPR until the spring of your Internship year.  We suggest that you use an Internet search engine, such as Google, to locate.  Local bookstores may have study materials.

We recommend beginning your test preparation by reviewing the TExES testing website.  There you will find free electronic preparation manuals for all content and PPR tests.  Each manual contains the frameworks the test is based on and a sample practice test.

A&M-Texarkana ACP offers practice tests for all of the PPR tests and content tests for certifications offered on the Texarkana campus.  The PPR tests are free and the content tests are $15.  Registration and payment are made through the ACP Office by emailing debbie.hopkins@tamut.edu or calling 903-223-3044.
