The Women for A&M-Texarkana hosted the 2005 Gourmet Dinner & Art Auction on September 10, 2005 at the Texarkana Country Club.  The featured chef was Dean Fearing, "King of Southwestern Cuisine" from the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas.  The event was a huge success.  There were approximately 200 people in attendance. The event raised over $65,000 which will provide scholarships and benefit educational opportunities at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
