Meet Rosheaka Jan’ee Williams, who was recently featured in Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas Magazine. Rosheaka was born in Texarkana, Texas and has lived here all of her life. She is currently seeking the Bachelor Applied Arts and Sciences Degree with a complement in Organizational Leadership.
Rosheaka is a true rising star and the very embodiment of student leadership. She is truly enjoying her experience in the BAAS Program.
We are all so proud to have Rosheaka in our program and we hope you’ll have a chance to meet her soon and share a similar experience with BAAS!

Why should you join the BAAS Club?
Receive a Shirt
For starters you receive a shirt with the prestigious Texas A&M-Texarkana logo, which will help you identify with so many other BAAS members on (and off) campus.
Participate in the Book Exchange & Save Money!
Another great reason to join is that you’ll be able to take part in our Book Exchange Program, an innovative idea developed by our current BAAS president, Wayne Smith. The book exchange gives our students the opportunity to turn in their used textbooks and select from other used textbooks. This service is offered at no charge to the student and enables them to save money on their upcoming courses.
Join a supportive community
Another aspect of the club is the camaraderie between our adult students. In the BAAS community we find that we can help other students by assisting them with their courses or being a good “empathic” ear. The bond created between our students helps with future academic success and developing a sense of accomplishment.
Take part in fun activities
Are there any fun activities outside of A&M University? Yes indeed. In fact, we had our first Annual Fall Round-Up in October, 2009. The weather was fantastic and the picnic site overlooked Bringle Lake (see picture above), the future home to A&M University-Texarkana. The day’s activities included an introduction of BAAS officers, the president discussing upcoming goals for the year, and eating some delicious barbecue.
