1.        Agenda
 2.        Meeting called to order at 1:32 PM by Dr. Racheotes. 
 3.        Dr. Gandy moved, seconded by Dr. Kincaid to approve minutes from previous meeting February 11, 2009.  Motion passed.

4.        Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to approve Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: Delete the following BBA majors: Finance, General Business, Management, MIS, Marketing (Boger).  Motion passed.

5.        Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to approve Course Inventory Deletion:      SOC 432 Sociology of Corrections (Peck).
           Motion was made to delete SOC 432 Sociology of Corrections from the course inventory.  Motion passed.

6.        Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to approve Course Inventory

Add/Reinstate: SOC 330 Institutional Corrections, Theory and Practice (Peck).  Motion was made to add SOC 330 Institutional Corrections, Theory and Practice to the course inventory.  This will be cross-listed with CJ 330.  Motion passed.

7.        Dr. Brumm moved, seconded by Dr. Gandy to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate: CS 465 Computer Security (Lala).  Motion was made to add CS 465 Computer Security to the course inventory.  Motion passed.

8.        Dr. Brumm moved, seconded by Dr. Gandy to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate: EE 425 Signals and Systems II (Lala).  Motion was made to add EE 425 Signals and Systems II to the course inventory.  Motion passed.

9.        Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Fowler to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate: EE 429 Basic Communication Theory (Lala).  Motion was made to add EE 429 Basic Communication Theory to the course inventory.  Motion passed.

10.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Beason to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate: EE 455 Digital Circuit Testing and Testability (Lala).  Motion was made to add EE 455 Digital Circuit Testing and Testability to the course inventory.  Motion passed.

11.       Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Fowler to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate: LEAD 497 Special Topics: Leadership in a Democracy (G. Green). 

Motion was made to add LEAD 497 Special Topics: Leadership in a Democracy to the

course inventory.  Motion passed as amended.

12.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Beason to approve Course Changes: AAS 490 Strategies of Action Research (G. Green).  Motion was made to add ENG 340 Advanced Expository Writing as a prerequisite.  Motion passed.

13.       Dr. Gandy moved, seconded by Dr. Kincaid to approve Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (G. Green). 

Motion was made to add COMM 380 Advanced Professional Communication to the upper division core requirements of the BAAS program.  Motion passed.

14.       Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Fowler to approve Course Changes: COMM 350 Advanced Technological Communication (An).  Motion was made to change the course prefix to ITED 350.  Motion passed.

15.       Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Gandy to approve Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: BS-Math 4-8 (Fortenberry).  Motion was made to allow MATH 2412 (Pre-Calculus) to substitute for MATH 1316 (Plane Trigonometry).  Motion passed.

16.       Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Kincaid to approve Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: BS-Math 8-12 (Fortenberry).  Motion was made to remove Calculus IV (MATH 2316) from degree plan.  Motion passed.

17.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: EC-4 Generalist (Fowler).  Motion was made to table this item to redesign changes using recommendations from the External Evaluator Report. Motion tabled.

18.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Course Changes: ED 403 Early Childhood Education: Curriculum (Fowler).  Decision was made by the Committee to table this item due to agenda item #17 being previously tabled.  Motion tabled.

19.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Course Changes: ED 486 Methods of EC-4 Math, Physical Education, and Science (Fowler).  Decision was made by the Committee to table this item due to agenda item #17 being previously tabled.  Motion tabled.

20.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Course Changes: ED 487 Methods of EC-4 Social Studies, Language Arts, and Fine Arts (Fowler).  Decision was made by the Committee to table this item due to agenda item #17 being previously tabled.  Motion tabled.

21.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Course Changes: ED 401 Early Childhood Education: History and Philosophy (Fowler).  Decision was made by the Committee to table this item due to agenda item #17 being previously tabled.  Motion tabled.

22.       Dr. Kincaid moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to table Course Changes: ED 491 Resident Teaching EC-4 (Fowler).  Decision was made by the Committee to table this item due to agenda item #17 being previously tabled.  Motion tabled.

23.       Approval of Recommended Core Curriculum (Wagy).  Motion passed.

24.       Dr. Brumm moved, seconded by Dr. Gandy to approve Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program: Criminal Justice (Okereke).  Motion passed.
