3.         Dr. Laird moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve minutes from previous meeting, October 18, 2005.

4.         Dr. Laird moved, second by Dr. Green to approve Course Inventory Change:

            HSCI 347:  Foundations of Health Care Ethics.  (Garick)  Motion passed.

5.         Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Brumm to approve Course Inventory Deletion of the following courses:  (Laird).  Motion passed.

            ED 430:  Classroom Management & Teaching Strategies (4-8)

            ED 431:  Curriculum Grades 4-8

            ED 441:  Classroom Management & Teaching Strategies (8-12)

            ED 442:  Curriculum Grades 8-12

 6.         Dr. Laird moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Deletion of the following courses:  (Nutter).  Motion passed.

            ED 485:  EC-4 Teaching Methods

            ED 488:  Intern Practicum

 7.         Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Laird to approve Course Inventory Deletion of the following course:  HIST 455:  The History of Mexico. (Perry)  Motion passed.

8.         Dr. Green moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Add/                        Reinstate:  BSC 406:  Wildlife Ecology & Management.  (McCallum) Motion passed pending recommended changes:  Under Justification (on faculty form) –   Keep Need Statement #1 and the first sentence from #3.  All other Need Statements to be delted.  Dr. McCallum made changes and returned corrected originals during today’s meeting time.

9.         Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Green to approve Course Inventory  Add/Reinstate:  BSC 407:  Research and Management Techniques for Wildlife and                  Habitats.  (McCallum) 

            Motion passed pending recommended changes:  Under Justification (on faculty form) –   Keep Need Statement #1 and the first sentence from #3.  All other Need Statements to be delted.  Dr. McCallum made changes and returned corrected originals during today’s meeting time

10.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Laird to approve Add New Undergraduate Program:  Minor in Spanish.  (Rincon)  Motion passed.

11.       Dr. Brumm moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate:  SPAN 360:  Introduction to Hispanic Literature.  (Rincon)  Motion passed.

12.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Own to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate:  SPAN 310:  Spanish Grammar and Composition.  (Rincon)  Motion passed.

13.       Course Syllabus Change:  BE 470:  Bilingual Assessment and Monitoring (Rincon).Changes recommended for How to state prerequisites.  Dr. Racheotes will consult with Pat Black to make necessary modification on the Syllabus Change form to indicate prerequisites. 

14.       Course Syllabus Change:  BE 472:  Bilingual and Dual Language Methodologies.  (Rincon).   Agenda item was tabled.  Changes recommended for How to state prerequisites.  Dr. Racheotes will consult with Pat Black to make necessary modification on the Syllabus Change form to indicate prerequisites. 

15.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Green to approve Course Syllabus Change:               BE:  476: Content Area Instruction for Bilingual Programs.  (Rincon)

            Motion passed.

16.       Dr. Owen moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Deletion: BSC 470:  Parasitology.  (Allard)  Motion passed.

17.       Dr. Laird moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Deletion: BSC 317:  Pathophysiology.  (Allard)  Motion passed.

18.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Green to approve Changes to Existing                          Undergraduate Program: B.S. History: 4-8 Social Studies Teaching Field.   (Wagy) 

            Motion passed pending changes:  Under “Major Requirements” on the Faculty Form – Add this sentence:  9 semester hours in American and 9 semester hours in   non-American History have been revised to 9 semester hours in North American  and 9 semester hours in World History.  6 SCH of upper-level political science have been added and 6 SCH of upper-level history have been subtracted.  Remove the page Explanation of changes.

19.       Dr. Brumm moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Changes to Existing                           Undergraduate Program: B.S. History.  (Wagy) Motion passed pending changes:  Under “Major Requirements” on the Faculty  Form – Add this sentence:  12 semester hours in American and 12 semester hours in non-American History has been revised to 12 semester hours in North American and 12 hours in World History.  Remove the page “Explanation of     changes”.

20.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Laird to approve Changes to Existing                              Undergraduate Program: B.S. History: 8-12 Social Studies Teaching Field. (Wagy) 

            Motion passed pending changes:  Under “Major Requirements” on the Faculty Form – Add this sentence:  9 semester hours in American and non-American History has been revised to 9 semester hours in North American and World History.  Remove the page Explanation of changes.  6 SCH of upper-level political science have been added and 6 SCH of upper-level history have been subtracted.

22.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Owen to approve Course Inventory Change: MIS 430:  Web Page Development with Visual Basic Script.  (McDonald)                        Motion passed.

23.       Dr. Laird moved, second by Dr. Garick to approve Course Inventory Deletion: HIST 468:  Church, State and Society in Russia.  (Wagy)  Motion passed.

24.       Course Inventory Change:  BE 474:  Biliteracy for Bilingual and Dual Language Classrooms (Rincon) 

            Agenda item was tabled for changes regarding the wording of prerequisites. Dr. Racheotes will talk to Pat Black about adding a spot for prerequisites on  Syllabus change forms. 

25.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Laird to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate:  SPAN 303:  Spanish Composition and Conversation.  (Rincon)

            Motion passed.

26.       Dr. Garick moved, second by Dr. Laird to approve a new course:  CIS 440: Web Applications Engineering.  (Agrawal). 

            Motion passed pending changes:  On Faculty Form under “Prerequisites” needs to read:  “One of the following ITSE 1307 or 2349 or consent of Instructor.

27.       Other Business:

            Discussion ensued concerning wording for “Justification” on Faculty Forms.  Peter will consult with Pat Black and Carla Snyder to change form.

            Dr. Lotven recommended that we begin a new procedure on the format of the Agenda Packets.  In addition to page numbering, it will be helpful to add the agenda item number on the particular page.  We will begin this process for our next meeting.

28.       Next meeting will be Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 2-4 pm, Room 375.
