1. Revision of #3 on the minutes of November 6, 2000 was reviewed. Motion to approve was made by Jim Martin, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed. The minutes of November 27, 2000 were reviewed. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Jim Martin. Motion passed.

2. Cross-listing of BSC472 and CJ472: Motion to approve was made by Jim Harbin, seconded by Jim Martin. Motion passed.

3. New Biology Course: BSC481 – Seminar: Seminar required for biology majors. Motion to approve was made by Jim Harbin, seconded by Jim Harbin. Motion passed.

4. New Biology Course: BSC405 – Vertebrate Field Biology: Motion to approve was made by Art Simonson, seconded by Jim Harbin. Motion passed.

5. Rule (previous policy) requiring 60 semester hours from senior level institution on every degree plan: Discussion to delete rule #3. Motion to approve was made by Jim Martin, seconded by Jim Harbin. Motion passed.

6. New Proposed Area of Concentration for BAAS: Public Administration with the proposed following new courses: POLSci360 – Introduction to Public Administration/Leadership; PolSci380 – Civil Rights/Civil Liberties; PolSci430 – Urban Affairs; and PolSci497 –Special Topics: Motion to approve was made by Jim Martin, seconded by Jane Hastings. Motion passed.

7. New Political Science Course: PolSci490 – Internship: Motion to approved was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

8. New Education Course: EDAD590 – Governance and Politics in Public Schools: Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

9. New Education Course: EDAD591 – Superintendent Internship: Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

10. New Education Course: EDAD594 – Executive Leadership: Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

11. New Education Course: EDAD598 – Business and Support Services. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

12. New Education Course: EDAD567 – Supervision of Instruction. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

13. New Education Course: EDAD596 – School and Community Partnerships. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

14. Revised Education Course: EDAD531 – Instructional Leadership. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

15. Revised Education Course: EDAD574 – Administration of Special and Compensatory Programs. Motion to approve was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson.

16. Revised Education Course: EDAD588 – Principal Internship. Motion to approved was made by Jane Hastings, seconded by Art Simonson. Motion passed.

17. Cross-listing of MIS497 and MIS597. Charles McDonald will be invited to the next meeting for discussion on this matter.

18. Web-based Delivery of ECON577. Larry Davis will be invited to the next meeting for discussion on this matter.

19. Role of the Curriculum Committee in Academic Assessment. Possible ways and the extent of involvement were discussed. John Johnson stated that in the future the Office of the College Deans are to play the major role in academic assessment. Dick Roach added that the Administrative Council had plans to convene a committee to deal with academic assessment.
