1. P. Racheotes moved, second by S. Garick to approve December 10, 2003 minutes. Motion passed.

2. Welcome to new members: Anson Godfrey, ex officio and Serajul Bhuiyan, Arts & Sciences representative.

3 & 4. Motion by S. Garick, second by J. Hamilton to approve the Bachelor of Science in Sociology proposal to move forward with the following corrections: 1) reword last sentence under A. Personnel on page 21; 2) on page 4, the sentence, “The applicant must have a grade point average of 2.50 or above in the last 60 credit hours completed for the bachelor’s degree” should be changed to reflect graduate admission requirements; 3) change all university references from TAMU-T to A&M-Texarkana after the initial reference of Texas A&M University-Texarkana; 4) on page 1, remove OK, LA, and AR; and 5) on page 5, consider using only one track rather than two. Motion passed.

5. Old Business:

a) A. Godfrey will bring information on distance education to the next meeting.

b) CC members asked to announce CC timelines in department and college meetings.

c) Reminder to peruse website for any changes.

d) Suggestion to have persons submitting items for CC review to also submit 15 copies.
