March 30, 2000

SPECIAL MEETING

Members present: Hastings, Martin, Harbin, Roach, Black, Simonson, Johnson

1. Dr. Martin moved to approve the nursing proposal with suggested changes. Dr. Harbin seconded, and the motion carried.

2. Dr. Simonson moved to approve the biology proposal with suggested changes. Dr. Hastings seconded, and the motion carried.

3. Dr. Simonson moved and Dr. Hastings seconded that the committee has reviewed and provided input into the Educational Administration proposal as well as time has allowed. The motion passed with one abstention.

4. Ms. Black will issue a memo reminding program coordinators of the April 10 deadline for new course syllabi and substantive course changes for the Fall semester.

5. Dr. Hastings moved and Dr. Harbin seconded a motion to recommend to the VPAA that program development in the future include early and continuous departmental faculty involvement. The motion carried unanimously.

6. The next regular meeting of the curriculum committee will be April 25 at 2:30 in room 229N. Changes in the Business Administration Program will be considered.
