Undergraduate Curriculum Committee Minutes

Called to Order:          2:00 pm

1.         Agenda

2.         Meeting called to order at 2:00 PM by Dr. Racheotes. 

3.         Dr. Haque moved, seconded by Dr. Brumm to approve minutes from previous meeting December 12, 2007.  Motion passed

 

4.         Dr. Beason moved, seconded by Dr. Haque to approve Course Inventory Add/Reinstate:  LEAD 414 Organizational Training and Development (G. Green).  Request to add LEAD 414 to the course inventory.  Discussion ensued about the wording on the Course Syllabus that was provided.  It was decided that the “Faculty Requirement:  Doctorate or ABD” would be removed from the syllabus and resubmitted.  Motion Passed.    

 

5.         Old Business:

 

            A motion was moved by Dr. Gandy, seconded by Dr. Brumm to approve the Changes to Existing Undergraduate Program:  English (Davis) that was previously tabled at the December 12, 2007 meeting (Agenda Item #5).  Dr. Gandy provided forms that reflected the justification needed.  Motion Passed.               

 

 

6.         Other Business:

 

1)  Pat Black asked that any degree programs that will have a reduction in total credit hours (e.g. 120) check to make sure that the new requirement have been approved by the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee prior to the catalog deadline.

2)  At the next meeting, March 12, 2008, a picture will be taken of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee members to be placed on the university website.
