Eagle Alert
Texas A&M University-Texarkana is pleased to announce that we now have a state-of-the-art message system that is capable of sending emergency notifications instantly and simultaneously to all registered mobile phones, Blackberries, wireless PDAs, pagers, Smart or Satellite phones, and email addresses – Eagle Alert.
This service is licensed for use by currently enrolled students, faculty and staff. Eagle Alert is an “opt-in” service. You must register for Eagle Alert, and once registered, you will have the ability to add or change telephone numbers, email addresses and other services available. You also have the ability to cancel your registration at any time. There is no charge from the university for this service. However, depending upon your personal cell phone plan, there may be a nominal fee from your carrier to receive text messages.
In order to access the registration page, you must first use your student or employee network ID and password. When you click “Continue” below, a window will appear.
Students – enter your student network ID and password. This is the same ID/password that you use for the computer labs and your student email access. Your ID is normally the first four letters of your last name followed by the last four digits of your Campus Wide ID. The password is your Campus Wide ID.
Faculty/Staff – enter your network ID and password that you use each day to log on to the university network.
If you are using any browser other than Internet Explorer, you will have to add the following in front of your ID – ‘tamut\’ . Example: If my ID is astudent and I am using Firefox or Netscape, I would enter – tamut\astudent .
On the Eagle Alert page you must first register. You may use any username and password at this time for your Eagle Alert account. Just be sure to remember it as this ID/password combination will not change unless you choose to change it. After you have registered once, you may return to this page and log on to your account to make changes.
