Unveiling of the Eagle Express

The initial funding for the Eagle Express was received through a grant from the Texas Pioneer Foundation.  The foundation awarded A&M-Texarkana with $124,343 for the purchases of a 42 foot trailer, a Ford F350 dual wheel truck, satellite, and 17 laptop computers with chairs.  The unveiling of the mobile unit was at Texas A&M University-Texarkana on January 29, 2008.  Dr. Stephen Hensley, President of A&M-Texarkana, and Dewy Brooks, Program Director & Outreach Initiative for the Coordinating Board relayed the vision for the Eagle Express.
