Our vision for this campaign is to gain private support to fund endowments for six faculty chair posititions and fund the dean's salary to create the Texas A&M University-Texarkana College of Engineering and Information Sciences.

• Texas A&M University-Texarkana received funding from the Texas Legislature for a building to house the proposed Engineering and Information Sciences College, but minimal funding for the degree programs.
  
  
• State funding alone is not adequate to support faculty salaries and the relatively high cost of operating programs in these fields. Private support is vital to the program. The College of Engineering and Information Sciences will not become a reality without funding from this campaign.
  
  
• Funds generated to endow the faculty chair positions will be placed in endowments throught the Texas A&M University System to ensure future generations may reap the benefits of a degree from A&M-Texarkana in the fields of engineering and information sciences.
