Peter Racheotes called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm.
The following agenda items were discussed:

1. University Statement on Faculty Workload Copies of the workload statement were distributed. Faculty members were asked to review the document and forward comments to Dr. Racheotes.

2. Faculty Evaluations
       The proposed "Annual Faculty Performance Evaluation" was presented. Extensive        discussion followed. Some issues raised were:
       a. How were values assigned to the different dimensions?
       b. Why have percentages?
       c. How will student evaluations be converted to the scale?
       d. How is the median determined? ie. Will it be for all students sampled? There were a number of questions raised concerning the "Instructional Visitation Review. (Who would conduct the review? Who would receive the review?) Dr. Racheotes asked faculty members to email comments to him for discussion at the meeting next week.

3. Faculty Research Proposals Turn in any research proposals by January 22.

4. Spring Meetings Meetings will be held at 12:15. The dates will be announced.

5. Replacement of A & S Representative Doris Davis was reelected to finish the year.

6. Next Meeting January 25 at 12:15. Room to be announced.
