Minutes

1. Motion was made by Dr. S. Garick to approve the minutes as written. Seconded by Dr. J. Brumm. Motion carried unanimously.

2. The draft for a faculty grievance procedure under Rule 12.01 was presented by Dr. J. Brumm, committee chair. A detailed review of the document was conducted. A motion was made by Dr. Barry Nutter to approve the draft of Rule 12.01.99 as amended. Second by Dr. Shirley Garick. Motion carried unanimously.

3 A. Faculty Performance Evaluation

B. Student Evaluation of Courses

The committee recommendation to use the University of Washington Office of Education Evaluation was rejected because of cost. The committee was encouraged by the Provost to redesign our form for in-house scoring. The committee will be meeting and has been charged to develop different forms for face-to-face and web courses.

4. Results from Ballot vote Nov 4-11, 2005

Forty-four member of the faculty senate (88%) voted.

Faculty Performance: Approved; 43 of 44 senators voted yes (98%)

Post-Tenure Review: Approved; 41 of 44 senators voted yes (93%). There were 2 no votes and one senator abstained.
