Realizing the need for continual learning and development in all organizations, the Master of Science in Adult Education at TAMU-T is committed to developing leaders, innovators, and change agents for lifelong learning in any work context.  Graduates in Adult Education have employment opportunities as instructors, educational consultants, trainers, and administrators in a wide variety of occupational settings.  This graduate program is non-thesis and practitioner-based.  All classes meet once a week during evening hours, on weekends, or use a web-enhanced format.

Degree Requirements
The curriculum is comprised of a required core of Adult Education courses (18 SCH) complemented with a field specialization area that can be tailored to your specific professional discipline (15-18 SCH).  Courses within the specialization can be selected from any other approved graduate program offered at the campus.

      Admissions Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5 on last 60 hours of undergraduate study
  • Three letters of academic recommendation attesting to the ability of the student to master graduate studies
  • An essay describing one’s personal and professional background, career plans, and intentions on how the selected degree will be used in the future
