We hope to inform you about our Special Education Programs

and inspire you to teach students with exceptionalities!

Why A&M-Texarkana?

Our undergraduate and graduate Special Educator Programs will prepare you to work with students with exceptionalities. This includes students who are at-risk for failure, students with disabilities, and students who are gifted. You will be prepared to teach in general education classrooms and special education classrooms. Our program emphasizes working with ALL students! Our teacher preparation program is outstanding by many standards:

v  High passing rate on certification examinations!

v  Small classes and small student/faculty ratio!

v  Student originations related to field of study!

v  Highly qualified and experienced faculty!

v  Latest in technology!

Our courses field experiences and student teaching component will get you ready for today’s classrooms and for a future in the extraordinary Special Educator profession.
