___ Special Education Programs ___

A&M-Texarkana Undergraduate and Graduate Special Education Programs are approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and are accredited by the Texas State Board for Educator Certification and the Southern Association for Colleges and Schools. Our programs are aligned with the Council for Exceptional Children Professional Ethics and Standards.

_Alternative Certification Program

Individuals with a Baccalaureate degree who would like to become certified teachers should consider the Alternative Certification Program (ACP). The course work in ACP will help you obtain the knowledge and skills to become a certified teacher. Within ACP you will complete a Generic Special Education certification and have the option of completing a Masters in Special Education.
