Peer Mentors
Peer Mentors are part of an elite group of student leadders who serve as role models, guides, and confidants for new A&M-Texarkana students. Mentors assist new students in getting acclimated to campus life and understanding the many resources available to them during their collegiate experience at A&M-Texarkana. Peer Mentors are students who have been apart of the Eagle Family and have demonstrated academic success and strong leadership qualities. Peer Mentors have knowledge of the university and its resources and are willing to assist new students as they transition to our campus and college life.
A&M-Texarkana believes the transition into college can be a difficult adjustment. The Eagle Squad mentor program is designed to help new students adjust to the university, develop a better understanding of the learning process, and acquire essential academic success skills. Therefore, we’ve attempted to ease this transition by giving new students an opportunity to connect with upper classmen across campus who are aware of the many resources available.
