Biology Major

This option is available for students desiring a traditional major in biology.  It is appropriate for those applying for entry into medical, dental, and other professional programs as well as for the students seeking employment in the biological sciences or going on to graduate school in the biological science.
 
  • *Biology 1406 and 1407 (Principles of Biology I and II)
  • 6-8 hours of approved Biology courses (Lower or Upper-Level)

  • Upper-Level Courses -- 21 hours

  • Required during last year: Seminar in Biology (BSC 481) -- 1 semester hour

Plus supporting courses:  2 semesters general chemistry, 2 semesters organic chemistry, 2 semesters physics , 1 semester calculus, 1 semester statistics (Math 453 at TAMU-T)
