Store Flow Project

Due 31 APR with oral presentation to class client
written report = 90 points, presentation = 90 points (site visit rolled into these scores)

Students may work in teams of any size, including as an individual.  All members of the team will receive the same score for a single report and a single presentation to the class client. 

All reports are expected to include the following basic elements, even though it is expected that reports will vary in structure.

  1. INTRODUCTION
    • objective of the client
    • client of the report

  2. METHOD
    • (the method MUST use a flowchart to identify points of interest in the process)

  3. SITUATION DESCRIPTION
    • physical facility
    • staff support
    • volunteer support
    • material flow process issues (abbreviated)
    • restatement of problem to be solved

  4. SITUATION ANALYSIS
    • material flow process
    • flow process issues - identification of critical points

  5. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
