      Required    Textbook : Evans & Berman (2005), Marketing 9e, Marketing in the 21st Century
      (9th Edition, 2nd Atomic Dog Edition), ISBN 1-59260-143-X.  Atomic Dog Publishing.  Available from the publisher in paperback and online media.
      Other    Materials : Access to the World Wide Web is required.

    3. Course Objectives :
      Throughout this course, students should be able to demonstrate:
      • knowledge and understanding of marketing concepts and terminology which form the foundation for advanced coursework and practice in business
      • awareness of the relevance of marketing theory within the environment
      • the ability to analyze marketing problems and situations

    5. Attendance :

      Students are expected to attend and participate in all class sessions.  Exams will be based in large part on issues discussed in class.  Excessive absence may result in a student being dropped from the course.

    6. Evaluation Methods :

      Students will be evaluated on the basis of performance on three in-class exams.  Exams will include issues from class discussion, textbook readings, and online readings.

    7. Grading System :

      Final grades will be based on the following totals in points:
       
       A=540-600 points
       B=480-539
       C=420-479
       D=360-419
       E=000-359
      Where:
       200=Exam 1

       600 TOTAL POINTS POSSIBLE
