The link list below is made up of information sources that I believe might be useful to us.  Check back often -- as I find online documents and websites that look like they might have some value, I will add them to this list.

Note that you may NOT cite statistics out of any consulting sorts of reports; you MUST cite original sources. E.g., cite US Census for population and demographics, not a chamber of commerce or real estate website.  Note that organizations often write reports that have a self-interest, and consultants often write reports that are made to stroke a client's hopes and wishes.  Note that you should even be a little bit suspicious when you read government agency reports.  I have seen labor statistics from county reports that do not match state reports, which themselves are opposed to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics (where one shows happy growth and the other shows sad decline) -- politics get played by employees who work for appointees who work for someone who wants to get re-elected.
