A Number of Wishes   Mini-Grant

Application Guidelines

 

 

General Instructions:

·         Submit grant proposal for up to $100.

·         Identify yourself and your school only on the proposal cover sheet.

·         Proofread the proposal and budget.  Make sure the dollar amount on the cover sheet matches the itemized budget total within the narrative.

·         Only current members of the RRCTM are eligible.      

·        Applicants must have attended the RRCTM meeting just prior to application deadline.

 

 

Technical Instructions:

·         Submit the word processed (12 pt. type) narrative on white 8½ “ x 11" paper.

·         Narrative is limited to no more than two pages, single spaced.

·         Order of submitting should be (1) Cover Sheet, (2) Narrative, (3) Budget Page. 

·         Do not attach appendices or extra material.

·         The application number listed on the cover sheet and budget page should be written in the upper right hand corners of the narrative pages.

 

 

Narrative Instructions:

Please use the following headings in the narrative and address each as an element of your proposal:

 

1. Need: Briefly explain the need for your proposed project.  What mathematics concept is being addressed?
2. Goal(s): State the desired outcomes of this project.  How many students will be involved?  How will the project impact the students?
3. Methods: Describe the activities planned to accomplish your goals.  How does this project build upon, or depart from, existing curriculum or classroom practice?
4. Evaluation: How will you know you have achieved the goals of the project?  How will you be able to demonstrate that the project made a difference?
5. Dissemination: How will you share the successes/challenges of the project with others, especially the Red River Council of Teachers of Mathematics?

 

 

Budget Instruction:

Please provide an itemized budget on the Budget Page included in this application packet.  Awardees will be expected to attach all receipts pertaining to the grant to the single page follow-up report and the original Budget Page completed after purchases.

     

 

Application Instructions:

The grant application packet must include the cover sheet attached to the front of the original narrative and budget pages, and two stapled copies of the narrative/budget page. The packet must be received by July 1.  Send to:  A Number of Wishes, c/o Debra Walsh, 305 Whippoorwill Lane, Wake Village, TX 75501.  Faxes or e-mail attachments will not be accepted.  Awards may be used for the fall or spring of the following year and will be announced at the next fall meeting of RRCTM.  At the time the presentation is made, a copy of the original budget page and a follow-up report form will be issued for return to the committee.
