Overview
Welcome to Eagle Wi-Fi, Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s brand new wireless network! Eagle Wi-Fi for guests allows visitors to Texas A&M University-Texarkana to connect to an open network throughout campus.
Eagle Wi-Fi supports all operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, Chromebooks, and more.
This guide provides basic instructions for Guests wishing to connect to Eagle Wi-Fi.
Supported Versions
Supported Android Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports the following operating systems for Android devices: 2.1 (Eclair), 2.2 (Froyo), 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.0 (Honeycomb), 3.1, 3.2, and 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 (Jelly Bean), 4.4 (KitKat), 5.x (Lollipop), and 6.x (Marshmallow), as well as a ’support next version’ flag.
Supported BlackBerry Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports BlackBerry Smartphones equipped with Wi-Fi radios that support 802.1X.
Supported Chrome Devices
Eagle Wi-Fi supports all Chrome OS devices supported by Google. To see a list of devices currently supported by Google, consult the following URL:

Supported iOS Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports the iOS versions 2.0, and later.
Supported Linux Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports the following Linux versions:
- Ubuntu version 9.04, and later
- Fedora version 18, and later
Supported Mac OSX Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports Mac OS X version 10.5, and later.
Supported Windows PC Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, and later.
Supported Windows Phone Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports Windows Phone version 8.1 TLS and PEAP configurations.
Eagle Wi-Fi supports Windows Phone version 8.0 for PEAP configurations.
Note >>
Windows Phone 8.0 does not support TLS.
How to Connect to Eagle Wi-Fi
The following are basic steps to connect to Eagle Wi-Fi for guests. The process may vary slightly from device to device.
User Prompts
This section displays the user prompts for connecting to Eagle Wi-Fi.
Guest Access:
Step 1:
Navigate to your Wireless Network Choice Options, typically found in settings, and turn on Wi-Fi.
Step 2:
Select Eagle WiFi and Connect.
STEP 3: Welcome Screen Display
The Welcome screen displays. Read the Terms & Conditions and check the box to show your acceptance of these terms. Click Start to continue.
STEP 4: User Type Prompt
Select Guest Access to continue.
Step 5: Enter Mobile Number to Receive Verification Code
Enter Cell Phone number in Phone Number box. Click Send. You will receive a text message with a verification code.
Step 6: Enter Verification Code
Enter verification code in the dialogue box. Verification codes are case sensitive. Click Continue.
You should now be connected to Eagle Wi-Fi.
