EL Course Designation Process

The process for EL Course Designation typically takes a full semester. Process includes the following steps:

1. Faculty Member should contact a member of the EL Cadre in their college to assist him/her in syllabus development or revision.

2. EL Cadre Member is assigned to faculty member to support application and syllabus revision processes. 

3. Faculty Member participates in EL training

4. Prior to submitting completed application and syllabus, Faculty Member must obtain approval from program as course designation will apply to all sections of course.

5. Upon program approval, faculty member may submit completed application and syllabus for EL designation approval by EL Cadre members.

6. Faculty Member implements EL course and participates in EL course assessment.
