Message from the Chief of Police
On behalf of the men and women of the Texas A&M-Texarkana University Police Department, it is my privilege to welcome you to our website. Here you will find information about our services as well as safety tips, crime alerts, and other public safety resources.
We are a full-service Police Department providing 24-hour patrol coverage, investigative services, and crime prevention strategies. We have seven licensed, commissioned Police Officers and two Security Officers. It is our University Police Team goal to provide a safe place for our students, faculty, staff, and guests above all other priorities.
You can report crimes to the University Police Department 24-hours a day, seven days a week, by dialing 903-334-6611, or by using a Blue Boy emergency phone in the main parking lot or the Bringle Lake Village parking lot. You may also contact the Texarkana Texas Police Department by dialing 911. Our Administrative Offices are located in the Central Plant, and are staffed Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
With communication and teamwork, we can build a better and safer campus community. Please let us know if you have comments, concerns, or questions. We look forward to serving you.
Sincerely,
Alex Serrano
Chief of Police
