Overview
Welcome to Eagle Wi-Fi, Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s brand new wireless network! Eagle Wi-Fi allows Students, Faculty, and Staff to connect to a secure, encrypted network, while allowing guests to connect to an open network throughout campus.
Eagle Wi-Fi supports all operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, Chromebooks, and more.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your Windows PC to Eagle Wi-Fi.
Supported Versions
Eagle Wi-Fi supports Windows Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, and later.
How to Connect to Eagle Wi-Fi
Follow the step below to connect http://tamut.edu/About/Administration/Information-Technology/mac.htmlto Eagle Wi-Fi. During this process, you will enter information as requested, and make selections about user type, device type, etc.
User Prompts
This section displays the user prompts for connecting to Eagle Wi-Fi. The sequence of steps for the enrollment differs, depending on access type selected.

Students, Faculty and Staff Access:
Select the Wireless Network
Step 1: Network Icon in Windows Task Bar
In your task bar, click the network icon to bring up a list of available wireless networks.
Step 2: Available Wireless Networks includes Eagle WiFi.
Select Eagle WiFi from the list.
Step 3: Connect to Eagle WiFi
Select Connect to connect to the Eagle Wifi.
Welcome Screen
The Login (or Welcome) screen displays. Read the Terms & Conditions and check the box to show your acceptance of these terms. Click Start to continue.
STEP 4. Welcome Screen
User Type
Select your User Type at the prompt (Students, Faculty, Staff or Guest) to continue. This example follows the Students, Faculty, Staff workflow branch.

User Credentials
STEP 6. User Credential Prompt
Enter your EagleID, password and click Continue.
Download and Run Application
STEP 7. Windows Download Page
Click the down arrow to download the zip file, which contains the application files.
Step 8: Save File dialog box
Click Save File to save the download file to your computer.
Open Downloaded Files
Locate the download file in the device Downloads folder.
STEP 9. Open Download File
In Firefox, click the blue download arrow to open the file.
Step 10: Click to open the download file
Double-click the file name to start the installation wizard, which runs through the configuration and migration process.
Confirm Open File
Your browser or operating system may prompt you to confirm that you want to run the application file.
STEP 11. Confirm Open File
Click Run Anyway to continue.
Loading System Configuration
The Wizard opens and begins the configuration process. The configuration process takes less than a minute.

Verify Network Connection
Step 14: Hover to see connection type
Hover over the network icon in the task bar to verify the network connection type.
STEP 15. Secure Network
Click on the network icon to verify to which network you are connected.
Guest Access
Select the Wireless Network

Select Eagle WiFi from the list.
Step 3a: Connect to Eagle WiFi
Select Connect to connect to the Eagle Wi-Fi.
Welcome Screen
The Welcome screen displays. Read the Terms & Conditions and check the box to show your acceptance of these terms.

Click Start to continue.
User Type
This example follows the Guest workflow branch.
STEP 5a: User Type Prompt
Select Guest Access to continue.
Get Verification Code
Enter a cellphone number capable of receiving text messages at which you wish to receive the verification code.
Step 6a: Enter Mobile Number to Receive Verification Code
Enter Cell Phone number in Phone Number box. Click Send.
You will receive a text message with a verification code.
Step 7a: Enter Verification Code
Enter verification code in the dialogue box. Verification codes are case sensitive.
Connected to Open Network
Step 8a: A browser window opens
A browser window will open, indicated your successful connection to Eagle WiFi.
Verify Network Connection
Hover over the network icon in the task bar to verify that you have an open connection to the internet.
Step 9a: Hover to verify open connection
Click on the network icon to verify to which network you are connected.
