Point 5: Portfolio

As education professionals, alternative certification students are required to complete the program with a portfolio to document their progress in the program.  Students should keep electronic copies of all work completed throughout the program (e.g. papers, discussion posts, etc).  It is recommended that students organize their work in electronic folders assigned for each of their education courses (ED, SPED, RDG, ITED). 

Students are encouraged to manage their portfolio throughout their career as a professional educator.  The TPP portfolio is due in their last semester prior to certification completion. Due date is defined by Teacher Preparation Program Director and will be approximately one month prior to program completion. Specific portfolio information requirements will be provided at Internship/Student Teaching Semester orientation.
