Waivers
Students who apply for a graduate program within the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology but do not meet the minimum GMAT or GPA scores may petition for the following waivers:

Applicants with a 3.0 GPA overall or in the last 60 SCH of coursework of Baccalaureate degree program may petition to receive a GMAT requirement waiver.

Applicants who score lower than 500 on the GMAT but meet the 2.6 GPA requirement may petition for a GMAT requirement waiver based on evidence of academic performance that would indicate success in the graduate program of choice.

Applicants who have lower than a 2.6 GPA but who score 500 or above on the GMAT may petition for a GPA requirement waiver based on evidence of academic performance that would indicate success in the graduate program of choice.

Applicants who have lower than a 2.6 GPA OR who score lower than 500 on the GMAT may petition the Dean for a GMAT or GPA requirement waiver based on work experience that would indicate success in the graduate program of choice.
All waiver petitions need to be submitted to CBET@tamut.edu. They need to include the type of waiver sought and the justification for requesting the waiver.
