Eagle Express
The Eagle Express is a 42 foot trailer that visits high schools, colleges, community festivals and events, and other venues to reach under-represented populations that may not have the knowledge and means to apply to the a college. The Eagle Express provides a setting in which parents and students can feel comfortable in asking questions and receiving help in the initial process of college preparation. We provide access to important resources in college admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and student life. The Eagle Express is equipped with air-conditioning/ heating by a gasoline powered generator. The trailer is equipped with 15 MacBook Airs, a satellite for connection to the Internet, 8 PS3s, Wiis, and an external PA system.
We also provide a “career cruising” program that is available for students as a tool for career exploration and to determine the education required for each career. The online questionnaire will help students match careers to their interests, as well as provide education requirements, colleges that offer certain degrees, and the expected wages for the chosen occupations.
(In order to reserve the Eagle Express the event has to have more than 75 students who will be participating. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.)
