International applicants must be adequately proficient in English to pursue a course of study at the university. The following satisfy the university’s language proficiency requirement:

Credit Evaluation |
Official transcripts can be sent directly to admissions@tamut.edu for evaluation. Transcripts must come directly from school/university/college. Transcripts or evaluations sent directly from the student will not be accepted. Third party evaluation are accepted from NACES or AICES members. |

Admission Requirements
Freshman are required to satisfy the English language proficiency requirement and meet one of the following to be admitted to the university:
- Have a composite ACT score of 21 or better
- Have a minimum combined SAT (prior to March 2016) of 980
- Have a minimum combined SAT (March 2016 or later) of 1060
- Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 GPA Scale
Transfer students are required to satisfy the English language proficiency requirement and the following:
- any post secondary transferable credit in a full term (Fall or Spring) after high school completion. If a student only attends the summer term immediately following high school completion they will still be considered a freshman and;
- 2.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher
Graduate students will need to contact the program coordinator of the program they are applying to for admission criteria.
