Spirit Week 20-21

Spirit Week Banner

A&M-Texarkana is proud to present its 2020-2021 Spirit Week Activities. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the campus community was not able to celebrate Homecoming Week and all of the wonderful traditions in a normal sense during the fall semester. With fall sports moving to the spring, we felt that celebrating many of our staple Homecoming traditions was still an important step.
Homecoming is more than a soccer game. It is a series of events celebrating A&M-Texarkana, uniting students and organizations, our proud alumni, and showcasing Eagle Pride and Eagle Spirit during one of the most cherished traditions on campus. Without our alumni "coming home" this year, it just didn't feel right to call this week Homecoming. So we came up with the label Spirit Week in an effort to celebrate many of the student facing events and traditions of this week as well as promote a sense of school pride.
We are very proud to share with you the events listing below!

Homecoming Royalty
Every Homecoming, TAMUT selects a Homecoming King and Queen, even though we aren't quite calling this year's festivity "homecoming" we felt that it was important to keep this exercise intact. Candidates are nominated by student organizations and candidates must have at least 60 hours and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Voting happens in two phases, election of the Homecoming Court followed by election of the King and Queen.
  • Homecoming Court voting opens on Monday, March 15th at 8am and closes on Tuesday, March 16th at 5pm. Each student may vote one time and choose up to three (3) candidates for Queen and three (3) candidates for King to serve on Homecoming Court. The court will be announced at the Bonfire and Torchlight Parade on Thursday, March 18th at 8:00pm. Click here to vote.
  • Homecoming King/Quen voting opens on Friday, March 19th at 8am and closes on Saturday, March 20th at noon. Each student may vote one time and choose only one candidate for King and one candidate for Queen. The King and Queen will be announced on Saturday, March 20th in between the Women's and Men's Soccer games (around 3pm). Click here to vote.
