Writing matters to every teacher, because writing matters for every student.

Institute workshops will include language play, authentic writing, family literacy engagement, technology-supported writing instruction, and much more!
  • Unique hybrid format combines face-to-face instruction at the Northeast Texas Community College satellite of A&M-Texarkana with online and independent work
  • Instructional units supported by National Writing Project (NWP) social practices as well as state-recommended Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theories and culturally-responsive teaching strategies
  • Led by Dr. Corrine Hinton, award-winning English faculty and recent inductee into the Texas A&M University System’s Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators and Dr. LuzMary Rincon, A&M-Texarkana Professor of Bilingual/ESL Education
