Transfers Students - SOAR

Congratulations on your acceptance to Texas A&M University-Texarkana! We know that choosing an institution to continue your educational journey is not easy, and we are honored you chose to be an Eagle.  

One of your first steps toward a successful transition to TAMUT is to complete orientation. As a new transfer student, you will complete an online orientation and then have the option to register for our New Student Conference.  

Let’s go through your next steps. Find the term in which you have been admitted and plan to begin coursework:  

For students beginning coursework in January, please follow the following steps to fulfill your orientation requirements: 

1. Complete the online orientation.
2. Once you complete orientation, you can schedule an advising appointment. 

For students beginning coursework in June or July, please follow the following steps to fulfill your orientation requirements: 

1. Complete the online orientation
2. Schedule an advising and registration appointment with your advisor. The scheduling link is provided at the end of the online orientation. 
3. Attend New Student Conference on 8/10/2023 (optional but encouraged); information will be sent to your AceMail closer to the event
