Texas A&M Texarkana is committed to recognizing and honoring the traditions, history, and significant contributions of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. As part of our commitment to Inclusive Excellence and creating a sense of belonging within our community, Texas A&M Texarkana will host a variety of cultural programs and initiatives that educate, inspire, and enrich the connections we share among each other. These celebrations allow us to explore different cultures, engage in meaningful dialogue, gain new perspectives, and celebrate the contributions made by people with unique identities and experiences.
The following are the 2023 national cultural and heritage celebrations and observances that are traditionally celebrated by universities, businesses, and other major organizations in the US.
