Principal of C.K. Bender Elementary in Liberty-Eylau

When the students arrive at Liberty Eylau’s elementary campus on August 13th they won't be the only ones taking their first steps in the brand new school. Recent Texas A&M University-Texarkana graduate Dr. Brandon Thurston has been selected to serve as the school's principal. Thurston recently graduated with his Doctor of Education in Education Leadership degree and says they are currently moving into the new building in preparation for the upcoming school year. He has worked as a teacher, an administrator, and in professional development in other Texas school systems prior to taking over at Liberty-Eylau's C.K. Bender Elementary School. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University and a Master of Educational Leadership and Policies Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington.
