Matt Coleman

Director of School Improvement, TASD

Texarkana native Matt Coleman has published his second book,Graffiti Creek. Coleman is a graduate of Arkansas High School and Texarkana College, and earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in English at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. While working on his master's degree he was a part of the East Texas Writing Project, where he wrote an essay that would later become the first chapter of his debut novel, Juggling Kittens.

Coleman is beginning his 18th year in public education. His teaching career began at Redwater before moving on to Arkansas High School. He spent a total of 9 years teaching English and is now the Director of School Improvement for the Texarkana Arkansas School District.

Coleman has a third novel under contract that will be published at a later date.
