Micah Johnson is the Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer for Christus St. Michael Hospital in Atlanta, TX. Micah has been in the nursing field since 2003, and started his career primarily working in ICU and in emergency nursing. Micah says his time at A&M-Texarkana was instrumental in his career development. The BSN program featured an emphasis on administration as well as advanced-level nursing. As a hospital administrator and nursing director Micah is responsible for staffing the medical center he runs. He says graduates from TAMUT’s BSN program make excellent nurses because the program gives you different insights into the nursing profession. “The bigger picture knowledge that TAMUT graduates have is extremely beneficial,” Micah said. Michael and his wife Jaimi have two daughters, Rylee (10) and Amelia (6).
