Travis Ransom is a busy man. In addition to his role as an insurance agent with Offenhauser, Inc., he is a member of the US Army Reserves and serves as the Mayor of Atlanta, TX.  He wasn’t originally planning on a life as an elected official, but when the opportunity presented itself it just felt like the right thing to do. It’s a natural fit for someone who takes great pride in serving his community.

He credits his BAAS degree from A&M-Texarkana with rounding out his resume, which includes active-duty service overseas and working for 11 years for State Senator Kevin Eltife. While working for Senator Eltife, Travis worked on projects relating to the eventual construction of the TAMUT campus at Bringle Lake. “It was pretty interesting being able to be a part of the early stages of development, then return there later and complete my degree,” Ransom said.
