About the Accounting Department - Accounting is known as the universal language of business. Learning this language is essential for understanding and communicating across the financial operations of organizations in all industries.
Our programs are designed to provide students with functional knowledge and proficiency in accounting and related technology, develop problem solving skills in an accounting framework, and improve communication skills. Small class sizes foster relationships with the skilled faculty, who use their knowledge and practical experience in the field of accounting to support and advise the students in career opportunities.
About the Finance Department - Finance is the art and science of managing money. Often conceptualized as a blend of Accounting and Economics, the area of Finance also incorporates a variety of other disciplines (e.g., marketing, psychology) to develop the proper decision-making framework for organizations and individuals. Students pursuing a concentration in Finance will be well-prepared to enter a career in such areas as corporate finance, financial services and banking, financial advising, security analysis, and investment management.

Industry leading technology such as the Bloomberg Terminal as well as statistical applications are used in assignments and activities that tackle real-world problems.
