Pre-Law

Pre-Law students at A&M-Texarkana develop their communication, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills; attend Pre-Law workshops, panels, and forums; register with the Law School Admissions Council (www.lsac.org); and prepare for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). Texarkana Votes

Texarkana Votes is Texas A&M University-Texarkana's voter information initiative, coordinated by A&M-Texarkana's Political Science Club. Texarkana Votes encourages citizens living throughout the Texarkana regional area to register to vote, learn about issues and candidates, vote on Election Day, and evaluate the election results.

Phi Delta Phi Pre-Law Honor Society

A&M-Texarkana is a charter member of the international Phi Delta Phi Pre-Law Honor Society. Any student may join the organization for life with a one-time fee. Our students also have an active Phi Delta Phi organization on campus. Activities include socializing, LSAT preparations, networking, and hosting speakers. Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society

A&M-Texarkana is a charter member of Pi Sigma Alpha. Political Science majors are welcome to join the national Political Science honors association. To become a lifetime member, students meet specified GPA requirements and pay a one-time fee to the national organization. Political Science Club

The Political Science Club advances active citizenship. We are nonpartisan and focus on encouraging all opinions to be heard so that we may gain insight into ideas and actions that could better our world. We strive to encourage the professional and educational development of our members. The Club often focuses on voter registration and election evaluation.
