You've led from the classroom, and now you're ready to impact and guide teachers and students at the administrative level.
A&M-Texarkana's Master of Education in Education Leadership (MEd) provides the foundation for the skills and knowledge required for you to pass the TExES 268 Principal as Instructional Leader and the PASL 368 Performance Assessment for School Leaders certification examinations for principals. However, if you currently hold a master's degree in education or a related field, A&M-Texarkana offers a Principal Certification-only program designed to prepare you for your exams and the leadership role of campus administrator.

Do I have to have a master's degree to pursue the principal certification program?
Yes, you do have to currently hold a master's degree in education or a related field to pursue principal certification. A&M-Texarkana offers a Master's in Educational Leadership that leads to principal certification preparedness if you currently don't hold a master's degree and desire to seek principal certification. Through the master's program, you are eligible for scholarships and financial aid.
