Education and Teacher Prep Program
Eunji Cho is an assistant professor of education in the teacher preparation program at the Texas A&M University Texarkana. Prior to joining TAMUT, she has diverse teaching and learning experiences with young children and adult learners in the state of Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas. Her research area is inquiry-based STEM education in early childhood settings. She has been intrigued by Bruno Latour (2005)’s idea of “heterogeneous associations” and Jane Bennett (2010)’s idea of “vital materiality” to understand how manipulatives/instructional materials bring impacts, like humans do, to learning about concepts and skills relevant to STEM.
In TAMUT, she taught the following courses: ECE 401, ECE 402, ED 403, ED 503, ED 520, EDLD 650, etc.
Cho earned Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice at the University of Georgia. She also received an educational specialist degree in special education for young children (Early Intervention) at Northwestern State University.
